Owdyn does not appear to account for refund transactions when calculating total spend for a category. For example, if I spend $100 on Shopping and later return an item for a $20 refund and tag the refund transaction as "Shopping", Owdyn still shows $100 spent on Shopping, when the actual net spend is only $80.

Solution: Treat any money coming in against an expense category as a refund and deduct it from that category's total spend. Similarly, treat any money going out against an income category as a deduction and subtract it from that category's total income.

For cases where a user wants income and expense to be tracked and displayed separately rather than netted, introduce a new category type that treats a category as both Income and Expense, showing each side distinctly while still calculating an accurate net figure.

Example: A "Freelance Work" or "Side Income" category often needs to absorb both client payments (income) and related costs, software subscriptions, materials, referral fees paid out, so the category reflects net profit from that activity rather than requiring a separate expense category.
